Toddlers (up to 18 months)

 

Toddlers experience much of the same daily class cycle as older children with adaptations for their age and attention spans. They have regular circle time where they begin to learn to sit quietly for story, sing songs, and play finger games. The teachers prepare regular lesson plans that address the toddlers’ growing awareness of the world around them. They do simple art projects that allow them to experience color and texture as well as improve fine motor skills.  Toddlers take one daily nap with periods of quiet play or listening time interspersed with more active play.
