Private Kindergarten

In both Pre—K and Kindergarten, students do projects and daily journal entries that go along with weekly themes and extend the theme into math, science, social studies, and art. Students spend regular reading time—both reading to an adult and being read to. Center time includes a wide variety of imaginative play opportunities including games and puzzles, role playing and puppets, that stimulate creativity and love of learning. Beginning with the youngest child, we make learning fun so that children will develop skills that serve them happily for a lifetime. 

Our smaller teacher/student ratio allows each child more "face time" with teachers and allows children to learn at their own pace: children when ready, are encouraged to move to the next level. Our graduates typically move right to the head of their classes in public school--most are reading well, have a strong grasp of phonics, and can do addition and subtraction using numbers up to twenty as well

as counting by 2's, 5's and 10's to 100. Exposure at Springbok to scientific method and experimentation as well as basic social studies prepare children for more extensive study in these fields.
