Pre-Kindergarten

The Pre-K group has a modified Kindergarten curriculum and may, at some times, work with the Kindergarten students. They are working on reading skills, phonics, sight words, and basic addition. The goal is that by year’s end, students can read simple sight words—many may be reading simple books.

 

While Springbok staff sincerely hopes students will stay with us for their Kindergarten year, we know that our Pre-K students integrate well into public school. Many are far ahead of their Kindergarten class in both reading and math.

  • Sequencing and ordinal numbers

  • Adding/ subtracting numbers

  • Know begining and ending sounds

  • Know and recognize vowels vs. consonants
